- Always order 10 to 25 additional invitations in case you forget someone. Reordering is expensive.
- Seat children close to the dance floor at receptions. They can get up, and let out some energy that way.
- If children will attend the reception, arrange for a special “throw-away” bouquet of candies for them. When the floral bouquet and garter are thrown, this will prevent injuries if children are seated, but they will still feel included.
- A necessity basket in the restrooms will provide guests with items they may need while sharing in your special day – band-aids, lotion, Tylenol/Aspirin, Tums tablets, dental floss, nail file, sanitary napkins, etc.
- Delegate friends and family members to help after the reception (loading gifts in car, taking down memorabilia, etc.) This will help to ensure that not just a few people have to clean up everything.
